Your journey into the heart of the Mekong Delta starts at 08:00 from your hotel in Saigon with a drive to My Tho, the capital of Tien Giang province. You will visit Vinh Trang pagoda, one of the most beautiful pagodas of the province which combines many architectural and decorative styles. You will then take a boat trip around 4 beautiful islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. These evergreen islands among the Mekong River still remain unknown to many people. You will discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong Delta way of life.
You will then head to Quoi An Village where you can see the traditional houses all crafted from coconut trees which grow in abundance in the area. You will also see how the local people use all of the different parts of the coconut tree to make beautiful handicrafts. You can then take a rest and enjoy seasonal fruits whilst listening to some traditional music. After, take a traditional horse cart along a village path and stop at Ben Truc Orchard to taste honey with tea or Mekong whisky (they have a funny rule for guests to get in). Next, you will take a row-boat trip in palm creek to visit a coconut candy mill. You can enjoy a fantastic lunch at a local restaurant before returning to HCMC for another overnight stay in a hotel.
