After breakfast with a local family, you will board a private boat for a cruise on the Ba Be Lake. Chugging through the green waters, you will visit the local fishermen who work from their dug-out canoes. Rounding Pe Leng, you will continue to Cam Ha Village where you can observe the peaceful life of the Tay people surrounded by the green rice fields. The Nang River passes right through the Puong Cave, home to thousands of bats, where you may alight and explore the magnificent formations of stalactites and stalagmites. You will continue along the river and stop for lunch at a local restaurant and then walk to the nearby Dau Dang Waterfall. Returning to Ba Be Lake, you will visit An Ma Temple. You will then trek up through the rain forest and eventually climb a tower to savour the most fantastic views of the area. After your photo session, you will go back around Pe Lam Bay, returning to the Tay village of stilt houses. You will have dinner and stay overnight in a homestay in Bo Lu Village.

Trekking Around Ethnic Villages (B,L,D)

Option 1 Breakfast will be served at 08:00 after which your local guide will take you on a trek to Pac Ngoi Village. Following the banks of the river, you will be able to view other ethnic minority villages in the Quang Khe area. You will continue to the amazing cave of Hua Ma which has only recently become accessible to visitors and lunch will be served near the entrance of the cave. For many years locals were unwilling to enter the cave because of its mystical qualities, but you can brave the depths of the cave and explore it at leisure after lunch. You will then continue trekking (24 km) through the forest noting some ancient trees which are over 100 years old. After, you will return to your homestay for the night where you can enjoy a delicious dinner.

Option 2 After breakfast the local guide will take you on a trek to Coc Toc Village and then uphill to Khau Qua Village and a Red Dao village in the Nam Cuong area. After a picnic lunch, you will visit Na Phong Cave near Bo Lu Village before returning to the lakeside for dinner and an overnight stay in a homestay.
Kayaking is available on day 1. If you wish to do kayaking, please let us know at the time of booking.
