Once inside the low opening, the cave enlarges dramatically, and you will explore the high-level series with excellent photographic opportunities. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful formations, enormous passages and an underground river.
The cave itself is limestone karst which has been worn away over millions of years by water erosion, resulting in an incredible subterranean landscape.
The main body of the cave stretches underground for about three thousand metres following a mineral-rich underground river. Inside the chambers of the cave are a variety of stalagmite columns reaching heights of up to forty metres, mirrored by large stalactite formations hanging from the ceiling. Leaving Lo Mo, you will have lunch in the campsite then travel back to the homestay where you will have dinner and stay the night.
